Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for an Account Analyst/Cashier for Student Financial Services.  This is a full-time position. 

The Account Analyst/Cashier serves as a personal contact for students and parents who are paying on their student account and answers any questions concering student accounts. The Account Analyst/Cashier is responsible for the majority of incoming calls and interactions with students/parents/and staff. In addition, they correctly and accurately records all transactions in the Banner system and safe guards the cash used and recieved at the cashier's window. This position requires strong customer service, basic accounting knowledge, and cash handling experience. In addition, the Account Analyst/Cashier issues parking decals to students and staff and has the ability to multi-tasks. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for accurately recording all revenue recognized by the University
  • Deposits all cash receipts for the univeristy in an accurate and timely manner
  • Servces as primary contact person with students/parents/staff on student accounting issues
  • Issues student/staff parking decal
  • Reconciles cashier sessions to insure accurate accounting/preparing of brinks bag
  • Reconciles Petty Cash B drawer at end of day to Petty Cash Summary Sheet
  • Processe student refunds after determining the eligibility of the refund or moves funds to Panther/flight account
  • Researches unidentified payments to ensure they are posted to the correct revenue account in Banner
  • Provides university wide customer service relating to Petty Cash Reimbursements
  • Notiifies departments of payments recieved to insure accurary of Banner accounting string
  • Processes all petty cash change order requests through Fifth Third Bank
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of financial statements 

Education/Skills required:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, or vocational or technical school degree required 

* Official transcript of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES). Required certification or license must be uploaded when submitting application for employment.
