Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Cook for Panther Dining. 

The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food at University dining areas. The position is accountable for following standardized recipes and maintaining the kitchen area to meet sanitation, health, and safety standards.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves customers food that has been cooked to order.
  • Prepares, cooks, and serves food using standardized recipes in a timely and efficient manner that minimizes waste and insures quality and customer satisfaction
  • Sets up, breaks down and cleans assigned cooking station
  • Stocks supplies and self-service stations
  • Performs routine kitchen cleaning functions
  • Responsible to set up and break down cooking station as well as cleaning, stocking, and food rotation
  • Maintains required production records
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Education/Skills required:

  • High School Diploma or GED prefered. Extensive experience may substitute for education. A degree or course study from a Culinary School is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of relevant work experience required
