Florida Institute of Technology is currently recruiting for a Business & Systems Analyst.  This is a full-time position with the University Application Systems department. 

This position is responsible for supporting assigned departments with the maintenance of the Information System and to support the business operations.  This includes the development, validation and testing of system requirements and processes.  Responsible for the development of functional solutions in Workday, supporting the transition form the current Information System.  The Business System Analyst works directly with assigned departments to collect, clarify and translate business requirements into fully developed and delivered Information System process solutions.   

 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with assigned departments to elicit, analyze, translate and document business requirements to identify system process that satisfy business requirements.  
  • Analyze, test and document report logic and specifications.  
  • Partner with assigned departments to conduct user acceptance testing and ensure accurate data is being delivered.  
  • Perform ongoing troubleshooting of functional business processes.     
  • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.  Responsible for Information System security operation.  
  • Write, maintain and suppport report requests utilizing appropriate reporting tools.  Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing needs.   
  • Develop and enhance working knowledge of Information System through training, independent research and testing to stay apprised of new product functionality.  
  • Other duties as assigned.  

 

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience required in area of expertise
  • Previous work experience in a post secondary education environment or other field with a large employee base with strong external customer service requirements.
