Administrative Assistant III (School of Arts & Communication)

Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant II for the School of Arts & Communication.  This position is full-time. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Admin Assistant for the Head of the School of Arts and Communication (Maintaining schedule, create meetings, assist with yearly faculty loads etc.)
  • Prepare adjunct contracts
  • Prepare travel forms
  • Monitor overall SAC budget
  • Schedule general SAC meetings and keep notes on them
  • Manage and evaluate other SAC staff members
  • Handle any payroll issues
  • Set up arrangements for potential new faculty campus visits
  • Deal with Facilities about re-modeling and /or moving issues
  • Maintain and update SAC Emergency Plan
  • Liaison with CoPLA staff


Education/Skills required:

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of office experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
