Florida Tech is recruiting for a temporary Business Coach to assist weVENTURE in its mission to provide small businesses in the area with technical assistance, counseling and coaching.

Our Intention: We venture to be the leading regional voice and resource for all women in business.  Offer support and programming for every stage of a business’s life span and leadership development for emerging female leaders.
 
As part of the C.A.R.E.S Act, the SBA has created a 1 year funding opportunity to provide Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) that are currently in SBA’s WBC Program with resources to provide education, training, and business advising to small businesses that have experienced supply chain disruptions, staffing challenges, a decrease in gross receipts or customers, or a closure as a result of COVID-19.  weVENTURE successfully submitted a plan proposal – COVID-19 Emergency Support Plan – and has received funding.
 
weVENTURE Emergency Support Program Objective
To increase capacity for personalized business coaching and mentorship, and to provide educational trainings and information sessions, to help businesses throughout our service area respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and emerge better positioned for sustainable growth. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Client coaching and education
  • Community outreach
  • Reporting and data organization

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Past business experience or experience as business consultant 
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience required in area of expertise.
  • Experience in business management, ownership or as consultant preferred.
  • Exemplary people skills and organization. 
  • Willingness to travel within the tri-county region. 
  • Strong public speaking skills.
