Administrative Assistant II (Information Technology)

Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant II for the Information Technology department.  This position is full-time. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the first point of contact providing 5 Star Customer Service to students, current Florida Tech faculty, staff, and any other guests of Information Technology.
  • Prepares and submits Procurement requisitions and receivers. Reconciles purchase card transactions/statements. Completes any necessary forms and/or paper work.
  • Schedules and coordinates appointments for VP of IT and/or IT Directors..
  • Coordinates and assists with IT events.
  • Performs general office support, such as sorting/distribution of mail, copying,faxing,and scanning documents, and filing.
  • Orders supplies. Communicates with the shipping deparment and various external shipping companies. Tracks copier count.
  • Performs data entry and maintains record keeping into Florida Tech's computer data systems.
  • Provides telephone coverage. Receives and responds to email correspondence.
  • Provides training to student assistants
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in area of expertise

* Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES). Required certification or license must be uploaded when submitting application for employment.
