Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Head Women's Soccer Coach for the Athletics department. This is a full-time position.

The Head Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for the organization and implementation of regular practice sessions and competitions, fundraising events and community service projects. The head coach is also responsible for the recruitment of student-athletes into the program, and responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the operating budget. Additionally, the head coach is responsible for the oversight of the maintenance of the soccer field and upkeep of the equipment.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the organization and implementation of regular practice sessions, competitions, and community service projects.
  • Developing and teaching strategies for motivating student-athletes to perform at their maximum levels as both individuals and team members.
  • Responsible for the supervision and job performance review of all Women’s Soccer staff.
  • Assist with makeup and implementation of the operating budget provided by the university. Develop fundraising activities and events to supplement the budget needs of the Women’s Soccer program.
  • Responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines established by the NCAA, Sunshine State Conference (SSC), University and Athletics Department for conducting a varsity sport.
  • Maintain an on-going recruitment program responsible for attracting highly qualified student-athletes with high grade point averages and students who have excelled in their respective sport at a high level.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the maintenance of the soccer field and upkeep of the equipment.
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of all travel arrangements.

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in area of expertise.

* Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
