Business System Analyst - Report Writer

The Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Business System Analyst - Report Writer for the Office of Operations.  This is a full-time position.

The Report Writer is responsible for the full development of report solutions in Workday.  The Report Writer works directly with departments to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into fully developed and delivered Workday reporting.

Job Responsibilities

- Develop and manage Workday reports and dashboards.
- Work with departments to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements to ultimately develop a Workday report that satisfies the requirements.
- Determines the data to be selected and evaluated against the reporting requirements.
- Analyze, test, and document report logic and specifications.
- Work with departments to conduct user acceptance testing and ensure accurate data is being delivered.
- Perform ongoing troubleshooting and fixing of existing and developed reports.
- Develop and enhance working knowledge through training, independent research, and testing to stay apprised of new Workday product functionality.



Experience/Skills List:

- Understanding of the various software development lifecycles.
- Experience in writing report requirements and test specifications.
- Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into actual requirements.
- Demonstrating proficiency with mapping, analyzing, and re-engineering business processes in an organization of considerable size and complexity with diverse customer needs.
- Demonstrated experience eliciting, documenting, and communicating functional requirements.
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships, effectively interacting with diverse groups and constituencies with differing priorities and perspectives.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise.
- Preferred experience in Workday reporting.
- Preferred experience in report development utilizing Human Resources or Finance data.
