Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for an Assistant Football Coach for the Athletics department. This is a full-time position.

The Assistant Football Coach is responsible for assisting with the organization and implementation of regular practice sessions and competitions, fundraising events and community service projects. Additionally, this position is responsible for a position group---including but not limited to---coaching, special instructing, holding informational meetings, and meeting one-on-one with the players.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the organization and implementation of regular practice sessions, competitions, fundraising and community service projects.
  • This position consists of being responsible for a position group---including but not limited to---coaching, special instructing, holding informational meetings, and meeting one-on-one with the players.
  • Developing and teaching strategies for motivating student-athletes to perform at maximum levels as both individuals and a team, while promoting the academic and athletic development of the student-athletes.
  • Assisting with the oversight of the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and field.
  • Assisting in all aspects of the recruitment process from inception to completion including: the development of recruitment plans, targeting potential student-athletes for recruitment purposes, and making recommendations.
  • Assisting with coordination and implementation of travel arrangements.
  • Responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines established by the NCAA, Gulf South Conference, University and Athletics Department for conducting a varsity sport. 
  • And other duties assigned by the head coach.

 

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training and experience)
  • Minimum 0–2 years of relevant work experience required

* Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES). Required certification or license must be uploaded when submitting application for employment.
