Visiting Assistant Professor of Behavior Analysis (Online, Full-time, Part-time)

The Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) School of Behavior Analysis seeks applications for full-time and half-time Visiting Assistant Professor positions in Behavior Analysis to begin as early as Summer 2020. The positions are temporary with needs assessed each semester. All of the work assignments will be in our Master’s program in Professional Behavior Analysis that is offered online. Relocation is not required. Duties include supervising practicum students, supervising capstone projects, and teaching didactic courses three 15-week terms per year. All duties are remote, conducted online with students.

Florida Tech’s ABA first behavior analysis program was established in 1998. Since then it has grown to offer four different master’s degrees, a doctoral degree, and an online degree in behavior analysis. The mission of our online M.A. Professional Behavior Analysis Degree Program is to produce competent science-informed practitioners who are solidly grounded in basic principles derived from the experimental analysis of behavior, who approach problems in a conceptually systematic way tied to those basic principles, who will attain BCBA® certification, who adhere to best data-based and evidenced-based ABA practices, and who will continue to inform their practice with current research findings.

A doctorate in behavior analysis or related discipline, with an emphasis in behavior analysis, is required; however, doctoral candidates will be considered. The successful applicant must either be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D). The ideal applicant will have teaching and supervisory experience. Faculty should be able to teach courses in applied behavior analysis, experimental analysis of behavior and conceptual analysis with the focus of training future practitioners in the basic science and philosophy of our discipline, while equipping them to work as BCBA practitioners in the public and private sector.

Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the finalists are selected. FL Tech is an Equal Opportunity Employer; women and people of color are especially encouraged to apply.
