Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Cook/Cashier for the Panther Dining Hall.  This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves customers food that has been cooked to order
  • Prepares, cooks, and serves food using standardized recipes in a timely and efficient manner that minimizes waste and insures quality and customer satisfaction
  • Sets up, breaks down and cleans assigned cooking station
  • Stocks supplies and self-service stations
  • Performs routine kitchen cleaning functions
  • Maintains required production records
  • Operates cash register and follows Dining Services’ published cash handling policies and procedures as described in the Cashiers Training Manual


Education/Skills required:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.  Extensive experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Customer Service, Short Order/Fast Food cooking, general commercial or institutional food preparation.
