Behavior Analysis Faculty

Florida Institute of Technology’s School of Behavior Analysis is seeking applicants for a one-year visiting professor (open rank), with a specialty in the experimental analysis of behavior (EAB) or translational research, based at our main campus to start in Fall 2020. This position may convert to a tenure-track position (open rank) in Fall 2021.

Florida Tech is a Tier 1 National University, as listed by US News and World Report. Our School of Behavior Analysis International degree programs either are already accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis or, if newer than five years, are designed to meet ABAI accreditation requirements. We offer MS degrees in ABA and OBM, and a Ph.D. degree in behavior analysis at our main campus. We offer an MS degree in ABA at our Florida Tech Orlando Graduate Center. Our new hybrid MA program in professional behavior analysis is offered at various off-campus locations. Our main campus is located on the east coast of Florida, just south of the Kennedy Space Center and 60 miles east of Orlando.

As the required area of expertise is the experimental analysis of behavior / translational research, broadly construed, the preferred candidate will have completed formal coursework in EAB and conceptual analysis/philosophical underpinnings of behavior analysis. We are recruiting candidates with strong teaching and research skills, and a record of peer-reviewed publications. The successful candidate should develop a productive research program in her/his area. S/he will supervise student research (e.g., theses, dissertations, and other projects), supervise practicum (if certified), teach one to three courses per academic semester at the undergraduate and graduate levels at both the Melbourne and Orlando campuses, and advise/mentor students.


Requirements for all our faculty positions: A Ph.D. in behavior analysis or a doctorate in psychology or education with an emphasis in behavior analysis, evidence of research productivity, and teaching experience. BCBA or BCBA-D certification preferred, but not required.
