Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Student Employment Coordinator for the Career Management Services department. This is a full-time position.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process FWS hiring paperwork and maintain proper hiring procedures
  • Enter and update job listings in Handshake
  • Advise FWS students on job search and student employment procedures
  • Monitor FWS student earnings and maintain FWS student employment records in accordance with Federal guidelines 
  • Supervise FWS Community Service student employees
  • Provide training and guidance to supervisors in developing job descriptions, compensation, personnel policies and procedures
  • Customer service and reception duties in Career Management Services office 
  • Assist with Career Management Services programs as necessary

 

Education/Skills required:

  • High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated administrative experience; experience in a financial aid, education, student services, career services, or human resources field is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-initiate general responsibilities, but also work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task with a high level of efficiency and adjust to varying assignments and workloads
  • Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, working with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organizational  and record keeping skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in financial aid, career services or human resources setting is preferred
  • Experience with Banner/Handshake or other higher education administrative/operational database experience is preferred
