Florida Tech is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant III for the Office of Development.  This is a full-time position.

Provide administrative support for the Sr. Vice President for Development. Interact and communicate with all Development staff, donors, trustees and other VIPs. Assist in making travel arrangements. Call and secure appointments for cultivation. Provide managerial, organizational and administrative support for various departmental and special events, meetings and fundraising activities.  Plan, manage and coordinate mailings while ensuring accuracy, professionalism and timeliness. Provide general administrative office duties and other duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support and manage calendar for the Sr. Vice President. Assist with Sr. V.P. correspondence. Interface with the President's office. Provide administrative support for the planning, coordination and logistics of departmental events and meetings. Interact with all Development staff at the direction of the Sr. V.P.
  • Provide support and manage major department events, including the Alan Smith Lecture, Tastes of the Season and other stewardship and fundraising events.
  • General administrative duties for the Office of Development including but not limited to office, copier and break room supply ordering, facility requests, mail sorting and distribution and trouble shooting various maintenance needs within the office.
  • Make travel arrangements for the Sr. V.P. as needed including pre-trip itineraries, reservations, confirmations and expense reports. Calling constituents in areas where Sr. V.P. is traveling and secure appointments for cultivation.
  • Support the administrative needs of the Senior Advisor to the President, External Relations and Economic Development
  • Perform other administrative support tasks as needed/assigned

 

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training and experience)
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience required in area of expertise
