Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Cook/Cashier for the Rathskeller.  This is a full-time position.

The Cook/Cashier is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food at University dining areas. The position is typically in our quick service, grocery or snack bar operations and is accountable for following standardized recipes, operating the cash register according to specified procedures, taking customer orders and maintaining the kitchen area to meet sanitation, health, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves customers food that has been cooked to order
  • Prepares, cooks, and serves food using standardized recipes in a timely and efficient manner that minimizes waste and insures quality and customer satisfaction
  • Sets up, breaks down and cleans assigned cooking station
  • Stocks supplies and self-service stations
  • Performs routine kitchen cleaning functions
  • Maintains required production records
  • Operates cash register and follows Dining Services’ published cash handling policies and procedures as described in the Cashiers Training Manual
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Skills required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 0–2 years of relevant work experience required
