Adjunct Faculty

Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions in multiple disciplines, to begin Fall 2018 and beyond.  Position is located in Melbourne, Florida. 

a)  Electrical and Computer engineering, with emphasis on Computer Systems, Computer Networks, Computer Architectures, High-Performance Computing, Speech Processing, Digital Image Processing, Embedded and Real-time Systems, Linear Systems, Satellite Communications, Speech Processing, Radar Systems, Antennas, and Optical Electronics.

b) Systems Engineering with emphasis on fundamental systems engineering principles, Systems Modeling and Analysis, Decision and Risk Analysis, Requirements Analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering, Systems Life Cycle Cost Estimation methods, Research Methods in Systems Engineering, and System Architectures.

c) Mathematics with emphasis on the Theory of Stochastic Signals, Applied Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Methods in Science and Engineering.

d) Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with emphasis on Applications of Finite Element Methods, Viscous Flows, Mechatronics, Convection Heat Transfer, Thermal Fluids, Principles of Composite Materials, Structural Dynamics, Advanced Design Theory and Methods, Advanced CAD and Design Automation,  Manufacturing, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Advanced Flight Dynamics and Control, Experimental Fluid Dynamics, Combustion Fundamentals, Fracture Mechanics and Fatigue of Materials, and Multivariable Feedback Control Systems.

e) Software Engineering and Cyber-security with emphasis on Requirements Engineering, Software Architecture, Software Testing, Secure Software Development, Application Security, Network Security, Biometric Authentication and Cryptography.

f) Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Acquisition & Contract Management with emphasis on Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management




  • Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the area of their expertise as well as basic undergraduate engineering courses.

Terminal degree required in subject area or related field.

Preferred Qualifications :  Previous teaching experience at graduate level in a classroom setting.  Experience teaching in a cohort program and/or Executive MBA.  Eighteen (18) hours of coursework in the field of teaching (MBA Program Preference).
